Training: Zero To 60: Career Survival & Emotional Wellness

The 2022 Winter Board Training will be hosted by 2 The Rescue on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 4pm to 7pm.   Dinner is provided for those who attend.  You MUST Register to attend.  

This seminar will educate through “boots on the ground” experiences and will provide responders and their loved ones with a clear picture on why this profession leads to destructive and unhealthy lifestyle habits.  We will demonstrate how our inability to manage the cumulative stress from daily exposures to adrenaline and trauma negatively affects our safety, decision-making and one’s ability to remain ethically solid.

You, your work “family and your loved ones will be armed with tools to manage the everyday unique stressors     and will be able to recognize the warning signs for chronic and post-traumatic stress and suicidal behavior. You    will learn realistic, simple and successful methods to help rescue the rescuers!

Hospitality Event - Friday, Feb 25, 2022

The 2022 Winter Board Meeting will be hosted by the State Lodge.  We will be hosting a hospitality room on Friday, February 25th beginning at 7:00 p.m.  The Hospitality will be located in the Okemos Event Center (across the parking lot from the Best Western)       

Board Meeting - Saturday, Feb 26, 2022

The meeting will start promptly at 10:00 a.m.  A lunch will be served for all of those who register to attend.   The cost of attending the Winter Board Meeting is free but we ask that every attendee register in advance so we may provide the correct amount of seating and lunch.

Hotel Info

The Okemos Event Center shares a parking lot with the Best Western Okemos.  A block of guest rooms have been reserved for February 25, 2022 at a rate of $85.00 single or $95.00 double plus tax. To reserve, call the hotel directly at 517-349-8700 and ask for the Michigan FOP Board meeting block. All reservations need to be made by January 27, 2022.

The Best Western of Okemos was fully renovated in 2018 and includes a full hot breakfast free for all guests.  Parking is also free.  Hotel check-in time is 3:00pm and check-out time is 11:00am.
